Affiliate & material-connection disclosure

Bark & Play (barkandplay.ca) earns money in two ways:

1. Affiliate links. Many product cards on this site link to external retailers (e.g. Amazon, Chewy, PetSmart, MEC). When you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. These links are labelled “Affiliate link” and use rel="sponsored nofollow".
2. Bark & Play store products. A small number of products are sold by us through our Shopify store. These are clearly labelled “Bark & Play” on product cards.

Commissions never influence which products Hazel features. We only recommend products we have personally tested and would buy again. If a product disappoints, we drop it from the site.

FTC & Competition Bureau compliance

This disclosure exists to comply with the United States Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides and the Canadian Competition Bureau’s Deceptive Marketing Practices guidance regarding influencer and affiliate marketing. Material connections to vendors are disclosed prominently on every page that contains affiliate links.
